OUR UNIVERSITIES
In the spirit of collaboration and educational innovation, TEEEM has recently partnered with two local colleges: Ramapo College of New Jersey and Fairleigh Dickinson University. Each partnership has a different focus and adds a unique value to our student's educational opportunities. Both institutions have been pivotal in helping sustainably strengthen TEEEM’s vision of cultivating organic, action-driven environments in which students learn how to become empathetic leaders in today’s world.
Ramapo College hosts and helps us execute our signature event -- the annual student leadership symposium. It is at this event that students collaborate with international social entrepreneurs and students from other districts within their pod to develop innovative ways to address community needs through creative critical thinking, problem-solving, campaigning, and event planning. Students then learn how to bring these ideas to fruition to save lives and empower communities around the world.
In the classroom, Fairleigh Dickinson University has been critical in helping spearhead our curricular approach to global perspective and social entrepreneurship. Through their Core Program, FDU collaborates with high school teachers and administrators to develop college-accredited global issue and world cultural curricula. These dual-enrollment courses not only allow students to earn college credits, but teaches them to apply the themes and skills necessary to become truly globally-minded.
