FAQs
You’ve got questions…we’ve got answers!
-
Our favorite question! TEEEM is, and always will be, free for schools. The only indirect cost is transportation to and from student events twice a year (optional, but highly encouraged for New Jersey schools).
-
Because of its vast customizability, TEEEM can be infused into any grade level, subject matter, or school initiative from Kindergarten to college and beyond.
-
We are excited about this answer being no! TEEEM has built a strong foundation for schools to engage with communities across the globe, no matter where they are located.
-
Absolutely. TEEEM will visit schools within a 60-minute radius. In fact, it’s one of our favorite parts of the job!
-
For schools who aren’t local to our homebase, there are still plenty of ways to engage with our staff, other TEEEM schools, and most importantly, our partner communities. Using Zoom (or the preferred platform of the school), conversations, activities, and even student events can be arranged. We will always do our best to navigate everyone’s schedules to make virtual exchanges possible and exciting for our students.
-
There are various levels of engagement with partner communities based on the different time zones and resources available; however, TEEEM strives to build a strong connection between our students and the communities they are working with. In addition to creative engagement opportunities, TEEEM hosts monthly huddles, where students and teachers are able (and encouraged) to meet the site leaders, ask questions, and learn about community and project updates directly from the source!
